Striders had 374 entries for this year's Scenic Seven (almost evenly split between post - 121, on-line - 120 and on the day - 133). 336 runners took part and due in part to the blustery conditions times were a bit down on last year. The 2 minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday was, as usual, impeccably observed and following that the 336 runners were soon on their way.

David Miller was victorious and scooped the £50 first prize in the men’s race for the third year running. In doing so he was only 6 seconds outside the course record that he set in 2001! Natasha Belsom also picked up the winner's cheque as she ran out a comfortable winner of the ladies race (for the second year running). Congratulation also go to Peter Barker who was second overall and set a new V40 course record.

Deepest gratitude goes to those who helped marshal and organise the race. And we had another huge turnout of 46 runners fromthe Striders.
