  Summer Thursday Night Guest Runs

Whilst the light holds, the club encourages members to invite the club to run their favourite 5 to 6 mile training runs.  This is a great way to enjoy and explore the local countryside around Stowmarket.

It may be worth your while keeping an eye on this list to ensure that you know where the Thursday Club Night will be.  If there is no entry on a week, then the club night will be from the Leisure Centre as normal.

Dates for 2008 will appear here:-

Trail runs take place on a mix of trails (obviously), footpaths and tracks and some have a small element of road running. You follow a pre-planned route using a set of clear written instructions (No map reading skills needed)

Trail runs start and finish at a pub. To take part just turn up at the pub any time after the published start time (generally between 6.30 and 7.30).

Trail runs are best done individually or in small groups of up to four people so you all get a chance to do a bit of navigating.

The benefits are – you get to see bits of countryside that you would not normally see. There’s no need to worry about ability. With written instructions you can run at your own pace with people of a similar ability.
