Rotary 5
7th May 2001
Finally
a bank holiday with some warmth and sunshine!
This
was a race only for the fool hardy, where the words 'Bent Hill' put fear
into fellow runners. You could tell that those from the club who
entered had
never done the Felixstowe Rotary 5 before! It was finally a warm and
sunny
day giving bad vibes for next weeks Woodbridge 10k. Even the strong
wind
pushing against the runners along the sea front was warm, and gave little
respite before the hill.
However
this was a well supported race from the public and fellow runners
from the club (thanks guys!), not forgetting our younger contingent
lead by
Daniel Starmer. Thanks also goes to the person who got the tannoy
speaker
to announce Katy and my wedding in less than 2 weeks.
I
found this to be an enjoyable run, but a tough one where I would not
expect
any PB's, although Katy has proved me wrong on this one!. Stowmarket
