1st July 2001 (Club
Championship Race)
A slightly undulating course making a few
runners a little apprehensive included
a couple of kilometers onto the Newmarket horse racing track. It was
well
attended bringing in runners from many clubs over the surrounding
counties.
Special mention goes to Rosemary for
getting the trophy for 1st place for the
over 50 ladies, and young master Naughton for getting a trophy in the
junior
race winning 1st for his age group. Well done!
The Stowmarket Strider results are as
follows:

So what does this mean for the Club
Championships? Well only Richard, Paul,
Grayhame, and Katy have improved upon last year's known 10k best times,
per
the table for Stowmarket
Striders best times for 2000. The best improvement
came from Richard by a massive 4:58 from his personal best run and Katy by
3:21.
Lets wait to the Martlesham 10k to see if anyone can top that!
