------------------------------------------------------

In contrast to the last race at sunny Woodbridge, this one was very different!

Resembling those nightmare cross countries from your school days, the weather was
bleak to say the least!  With snow still sitting on the ground, sleet gently fell from the
gray sky freezing anything it touched.  Even the sheep stayed huddled together!

However this didn't seem to put the runners off, seeing a good turnout with numbers
similar to Woodbridge.  Are they mad? or was it us marshals showing the way round the
course slowing going numb with the cold?  The runners thanked us for our support jumping

and clapping them on.  We'd like to take the credit but I think we were just trying to keep

warm!

This was a real winter cross country that saw impressive runs from the juniors as well as the

seniors.  It is great to hear from the runners that, although tough, they enjoyed the course.

Again at this point we have to make a special mention to our honorable captain seen taking
an undisclosed number of doughnuts from the cakes provided for those who ran. Tut tut!
