5 Fun Run
13th April 2001
A
bright, sunny but chilly morning welcomed the runners to the start of
Sudbury's 5 mile
point to point fun run. Taking the choice of leaving the car at the
finish we set off to
walk the 1.5 miles to the start. Just as we left the sports centre,
Rich cheekily stuck
his thumb out to grab a lift from a passing vehicle. We nearly died
of shock when the
lady driving the vehicle actually stopped and offered us a lift not just
into town, but all
the way to the start of the race!! One small draw back for Katy
though... she had to
share the back seat with a piece of large furniture, leaving Katy rather
squished at the
end of the journey. Thank you very much though.
This
was an enjoyable albeit not very scenic race seeing larger than normal
crowds
supporting the runners through Sudbury and Great Cornard.
Oh,
just a quick mention and well done to the man on the stilts!
