Stowmarket Striders Scenic 7

2 minutes silence preceded a close race between David Laing and Robin Coll with just 9 seconds separating them both at the finish. They were over 90 seconds clear of third placed Javier who was representing his university in Spain.

For the ladies, a closer race was being fought by our own Tamara Jordan and the young Danielle from Orion Harriers. Tamara came out in front at the line by just 1 second. The team prizes for both Men's and Ladies was won by Ipswich Jaffa.

Two course records were broken today by Andrew Bailey, Halstead Road Runners, for the Men's V55 in a time of 43:49 and Pamala Jones, also Halstead Road Runners, for the Female V55 category in a time of 54:43. Well done Halstead Runners.

They say running is for the young and old alike. The oldest runner today was born in 1925 (aged 78) and the youngest was born 63 years later in 1988 (aged 15).
