Bury XC

This race was its usual muddy affair, although not as bad as the previous year. Even though there was a home football derby at Portman Road, there was a surprising number of runners.

For the team, this was a good result. Although not in the premier league with Bury Pacers and Waveney & Bungay, the competition in the 1st division, being Felixstowe, Flying Shufflers, Newmarket and ourselves, was intense. The ladies team came in 3rd place and the men's, 5th. The overall board puts the Striders in 5th place just 22 points behind Flying Shufflers and 44 points ahead of Newmarket.

As for the ladies individual results after the 3 races, Tammy Jordan is placed 2nd in the ladies senior, Tracey Lee is in 8th. Rachel Champion is 3rd in the ladies vets 40 category, and Anne Fish is leading the vets 55.

For the men's, Ben Whiting is equal 3rd in the under 20 men's. Gordon Slack is currently 2nd place in the vets 55, and Jim King is also well placed.
