This race appears to either have an unfavourable course route or its timing does not lead itself well with the London Marathon and the bank holiday weekend.  There seem never to be many runners at this race!  However, it does boast a good supporter turnout from the locals.

With my wife having only just given birth to our baby boy, it was touch and go whether I would run today.  The incentive for me being to compete in the Suffolk Championships only to be denied as an on-the-day entry.  Having already paid an extra 40% on the original cost of entry (which one can accept), I found this ruling absurd and began the race feeling rather frustrated at the SCAA.

Now lacking incentive, I took the casual approach to this run being my first after the London Marathon.  The Striders supporters were great although distracted by my wife's birthing stories and our little 4 day old baby son.
