A new two lap course, starting and finishing in the Showground, was used for the first time this year which the organisers claimed was suitable for fast times. Being a two lap course through the showground meant that that climb up the gravel drive into the showground had to be made twice, at 6 miles and 12.5 miles.

A excellent run by Tamara who out sprinted the third placed lady to claim second spot by four seconds. The third lady appeared to have a male pace maker with her for nearly all of the race. A typically modest Tammy said "I was lucky, another year that time wouldn't have got me in the top ten". Tammy, you have to be in it to win it.
