It was a scorcher. I've never seen so many
people drop out of a race due to the heat and none of us wore any
sun screen!
All three of us said we felt ok until about
5 miles then just fell apart. After a brief walk at six miles, where Bob
passed me, I managed to pull myself together and re-pass him at 9 miles.
