  Stowmarket XC

4th December 2005

The biggest race of the series so far.  A big thanks to all those who ran, helped, or supported.

Individual results are looking promising.  With one more race yet to run, many Striders are well placed for a series trophy.  Notably Tammy Jordan and Anne Fish are guaranteed a podium finish for the ladies with Sandie also well placed if Sandie runs the final XC event.  For the men, John Squirrel is also guaranteed a trophy with Roger Aldis, Colin Pitts, Chris Starmer, Ker Macrosson, Peter Tricker, and Jim King are very well placed.

For a better view of where you are placed, please click on the Individual results link.

3 juniors ran for the Striders being Matthew, James and Teannie.

The Senior Stowmarket Strider results are:-

Team (out of 13 teams)

Wow - it's a close thing.  On the day, both the Men's and Ladies A teams were put into 3rd place behind St Edmund Pacers (who appeared to put out a significant team and winning the day!) and Ipswich Harriers.  However, the Striders A team continues to hold onto 2nd place being 62 points behind Ipswich Harriers in 1st and 44 points in front of St Edmund Pacers in 3rd.  The top 3 teams are well ahead of the rest of the field.

The Men's and Ladies B team, and overall, all came in 7th but still retain the 8th place on the lead table.  A full breakdown can be found on the county website results page.

A great turnout with nearly 25% of the field being Striders.  It is all the play for with just need one final good show at Culford in the Bury XC event on the 12th February.  Any of the top three teams could win this!
