Stowmarket Striders retained the Mutford Relay trophy that they won in 2007 with victory in today's race.
In an incredibly tight contest against a strong team from Bury Pacers the lead changed hands several times.
Tamara Jordan got Striders of the a flying start in the first leg only for Pacers to fight back and take the lead in the third of five legs. in the fourth leg Roger Aldis regained the lead for Striders and in the final leg Nick palmer fought off a strong challenge to take the lead in the last mile and give the Striders victory by a few seconds
As well as the successful "A Team" Striders had seven other teams taking part.
