Stowmarket Striders Cross Country
Haughley Park
At the beginning of every year, the Stowmarket Striders host one of the Suffolk County Cross Country series at Haughley Park.
Through a very picturesque and exclusive park, Haughley Park offers every element required to make a great cross country course. Two laps of woodland, dips, logs and fields test the runners over the 5 to 6 mile course.
Unfortunately for those of you wishing to run this, you must be a member of a running club taking part in the series as finishing is not the usual affair.
Stowmarket Striders will host their 2009/2010 series race on 7th February. Results are held and distributed by the SCAA (Suffolk County Athletics Association).
This year we are only able to offer outdoor facilities in the park; a marquee for shelter & changing, portaloos, and a mobile caterer. There will be no showers and limited changing arrangements, so please arrive changed and ready to race.
